Chemical preparation

At Metalmix this activity is a key element, because it influences on the quality of further technological, protective and finishing operations. First we assess the surface's condition and prepare the appropriate chemical process.

Our painting shop is equipped with a five-stage washing unit offering following chemical preparation modes:

• degreasing and phosphating,
• degreasing and pickling,
• rinsing after phosphating,
• rinsing after pickling 
• and demineralized water rinse.
  
  

As you can see in the photo, a proper surface preparation is perfect for powder coating what additionally protects the items against corrosion and ensures its very good adhesion to the surface. Moreover, it makes the paint coating durable and resistant to damages.

Control of parameters of chemical products

The aim of such control is to maintain stable parameters  during chemical treatment. JIt's a key issue which guarantee a preparation of a stable quality surface. Furthermore it influences on a stability of quality parameters of finished product. Current and regular monitoring of parameters can help to obtain a quality and adhesion of a coating layer on the product. 

Basic parameters are as follow:

• Concentration [%]
• Reaction pH
• Temperature [°C]
• Conductivity [uS].
  
  

A time of treatment in a chemical solution depends on material type. At Metalmix a measuring of concentration and reaction pH is taken once a day - it's an ideal solution!
